Monett, MO, January 4, 2019– EFCO Corporation recently reviewed its freight damage claim policy and has since updated it to streamline the process and eliminate additional work on behalf of the customer. The current policy required customers to file a claim through the freight carrier and reorder material from EFCO if their material appeared damaged through shipping. This process will now be handled internally by EFCO.
“Material arriving damaged is frustrating. Requiring our customer to then file their own freight damage claim, and essentially repay for material as they wait for a credit, just creates more ill-feelings. We know this change in policy will eliminate frustration and foster a better customer relationship.”
The new policy requires customers to submit pictures of damaged material within 10 business days from receipt of materials. EFCO then will proceed with entering a no-charge expedite for replacement materials. If all work instructions for the updated policy are not met, the customer will be responsible for submitting a claim and ordering replacement material.
